The Europe and Eurasia and Global Health Bureaus are proud to welcome you to the 2005 Health Managers Workshop. The USAID Regional Mission in Ukraine will be hosting us in Kyiv, Ukraine from September 11 - 16, 2005. The workshop will begin with registration and a reception the evening of September 11th, 2005 and it will conclude the afternoon of September 16th, 2005. A day of site visits will be included in the workshop. If possible, you should not plan to depart until the evening of the 16th or on the 17th.
This workshop provides an opportunity for program and health managers to step back from their daily activities and come together to jointly review health opportunities and constraints in the Europe and Eurasia region, as well as new developments in Washington. It provides us with a chance to share recent experience and programmatic and technical gains, exchange lessons learned, and together decide on the priorities for the regional Europe and Eurasia health analytic agenda and program. We are pleased that senior leadership from the Europe and Eurasia and the Global Health Bureaus will be joining us as well as most of you from our missions with health programs. If your mission is considering adding health activities to its program, joining in regional activities or needs more information to work with State on critical health issues such as HIV/AIDS, please join us.
We will be talking to many of you about the specifics of the workshop’s program and your participation in presentations, panels and discussion groups. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we don’t reach you first.
We are eager to see you all again and continue the dialogue, initiatives and exchanges from last year’s workshop.
