The Rosebank Hotel is a superior city hotel conveniently situated in Rosebank, one of the province's most cosmopolitan and entertaining urban areas. The Hotel is renowned for its excellent service and its occupancy runs at 90-100% all year round. It is within easy reach of the Johannesburg city centre, Sandton business district and three minutes walk from a shopping mall and renowned African Craft Market. In addition to the two hotel's restaurants, there are a number of other places one can visit in the evening for excellent dining out.
Johannesburg, the largest city in the country, is the main commercial
and industrial centre of South Africa. It has grown from a dusty
mining town into a dynamic metropolis fed by the rich gold mines
that have enticed people from all over the world whose innovation,
skill and vision have helped build the city to its current stature.

The Conference Organiser will co-ordinate airport transfers from
the airport to the hotel and back again. It is recommended that you
make use of this service. It is preferred that you provide your flight
arrival and flight departure details IN JOHANNESBURG at least two
weeks prior arrival. Alternatively, an airport shuttle desk for the
Meeting will be set up in the International Arrivals Hall, luggage
collection area, where you can request this service on arrival. A
cost of US$45.00 will be charged for a return airport transfer. You
should pay this directly to the transport co-ordinator on arrival
at the airport.
The Rosebank Hotel (official hotel) has offered special room rates for the meeting. In the interest of safety, comfort and smooth functioning of the workshop we strongly recommend/request that you stay at this hotel. All hotel reservations must be made via the appointed Conference Organiser. Room tariff with bed and breakfast is given below:

A block booking has been made at
the Hotel and it is recommended that you book and confirm
your accommodation as soon as possible.
Payment Terms : Full
payment for your hotel bed & breakfast account will
be payable ON ARRIVAL. Payment can be made by Credit
Card or with travellers cheques.
Cancellation Policy : If
a room is cancelled or the number of nights reduced
0-15 days prior to arrival (or no-show), then a 100%
cancellation charge will be payable. The hotel runs
at a 100% occupancy all year round and cannot afford
to have such situations. No exceptions will be made,
and full cancellation charges will be payable.

20, 2004 to confirm your attendance.
A compulsory delegate fee is payable as follows:
- US$ 60.00 per participant, for the Presidential Aids Initiative Field
Meeting - PEPFAR
(Includes lunch on 6,7,8 June 2004)
- US$ 80.00 per participant for the USAID SOTA meeting
(Includes lunch on 9,10,11,12 June 2004)
- An additional US$37.00 per person
is payable if you plan to attend the closing dinner on night of 11th
June 2004.

$25.00 dinner + $12.00 transportation fee to the
dinner location)
These
costs are normally separate, but in South Africa, most venues include this cost
in the venue hire charges, and quote a daily delegate rate.
Participants will
be served tea and snacks during the meeting.

No immunisation is needed when entering South Africa. The only inoculation requirement is a yellow fever vaccination certificate from a traveller entering South Africa within six days of leaving an infected country. Visitors who travel through or disembark in these areas are advised to be inoculated against the disease before visiting South Africa.

As with all international travel, the visitor to South Africa is required to be in possession of a valid passport. Travellers from certain countries also require a visa. (See attached a list of countries that require VISAs). It is recommended that you contact your nearest South African Embassy to reconfirm your entry requirements.
Visitors to South Africa should hold: Valid return or onward tickets for travel, sufficient means of support for the period and valid entry documents for next destination.
